We tend to look at the Old Testament characters as heroes, people to pattern our lives after. However, these people just as sinful as you and me. You should not seek to be like them concerning their conduct. They are terrible role models. But where we should follow their lead is their faith, not the size of their faith but the object of their faith. In this episode, I discuss how the Old Testament Bible characters are not people we should pattern our lives after. On the other hand, like them we should believe God is a promise maker and a promise keeper. We should believe that we are sinners and God saves His people through the promised Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
