49 – Why God Had Abraham Circumcised

God gave Abraham a strange command. In Genesis 17 God made a covenant with Abraham and commanded him and his male offspring to be circumcised. Why would God command Abraham to do this? Circumcision seems to cruel. However, God would never command anyone to do something that doesn’t have a purpose or meaning. In this episode, I discuss why God implemented the covenant sign of circumcision by reviewing Romans 4:1-12.
