RP: Fifth Petition

It’s the Reformed Breakfastcast. Nick, Jim, and Scott settle the debate: When does winter start? Which is the superior breakfast meat: bacon, or sausage? And exactly how long does a while last?

But then we dig in to the fifth petition of the Lord’s Prayer: “Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors”. What does it mean to forgive others? Are justified Christians not forgiven their sins if they sinfully withhold forgiveness from those who have sinned against them? What does forgiveness mean for people who have committed egregious acts against others? What about church officers who are removed from office for their sin? We tackle a lot here. Merry Christmas (or no-reason-midwinter)!
